Honed sandstone terrace with a clay brick edge.
An Upper Hale family wanted the new terrace to sit with their cottage, not against it. Honed Indian sandstone on full mortar, edged in clay brick to bridge into the existing garden wall. Planting softened the joins inside a season.

Sandstone is warmer underfoot, weathers softly and suits older or family-feeling gardens. Porcelain is harder, stays cleaner under shade and reads more contemporary. We bring samples to you and look at both against the house before deciding.
